This week I have invisible girlfriend I have been watching and listening to comedians in English. Until now, I have only been seeing old English comedians. The Monty Pythons are very funny, though I am sometimes only confused. I have learned that Terry Gilliam makes the cartoons? I think perhaps he is mad.

This week I have watched Eddie Izzard. He is Muggle, so there are times I do not understand what is funny. I have not been to airports, so jokes with airports only confuse. I do like his Bible jokes very much, though, because I know Bible and I have watched the movies and tellyvision.

I listen to wizard comedian also: John Jones*. I know I should not be talking on this, but his accent is making him sometimes difficult to understand. Does anyone have ways to understand people from Yorkshire better? When I understand, he is very funny. Awful, but funny.

I also have listened to record of Jim Gaffigan. He is Muggle and also American. Can someone tell me what is a Hot Pocket? I think they are scary food, but I do not understand what they actually are.

[Warded to Susan]
I hope you are well? Have you caught up from work missed while you were being sick?
[end ward]

*Imagine John Jones to be Louis C.K., if Louis C.K. were a halfblood wizard from Yorkshire.

This! This sort of game is what living is for! VERY GOOD!

[Warded to Daredevils]
I have said many times, but I say again: brilliant playing. Today, truly you all can say you have played the beautiful game.

Remember you play tomorrow, but celebrate today. Myself, I shall be at Towering Dwarf. Would like very much to see any of you.

Send flowers to Susan's office today. I do not know what is her favourite. Pick something pretty, in nice vase. Note to say, "I am hoping today is better than yesterday."

How to sign? "Love, Viktor" is seeming too forward, too soon, but I am not wanting to be too formal. Idea?

Also, lunch is your pick today. I am thinking too much to think of food, but still I am hungry.

Good night, last night. Made bad day, though - I have been part asleep for all of it. How are you?
[end ward]

I am sorry to see Scotland lose, especially to Transylvania. They were big rival for us, in Bulgaria. But, both teams played very good Quidditch. Impressive plays on both sides.

Also, I have important moment in learning English: Tranny is not actually term to mean person from Transylvania.

Lavender, or Parvati?

How are you?

[Warded Private, Written in Bulgarian]
Right. Great idea. If she doesn't want to go to lunch with you, she definitely doesn't want to dress up and be stuck with you for the whole bloody gala.

I suppose I could always man up and ask Coffee Shop Girl.
Hah.

If I ask a woman out, and then she cancels at the last minute, and then blows off an attempt at rescheduling, that pretty much means she's not interested, right? Even if you have great conversations and a lot in common and all?

I already know the answer to this, of course. Just confirming.

Almost finished with first reading of the Dragon Warriors Trilogy in English. Is not so easy to read as in Bulgarian, but I think now that it is true: there is better understanding from reading the a book in a the author's language. I think I must also do this with House of Cards series.

I think I am becoming better at to use useing using useing articles. I talked much tonight, and Laurenka said at least twice I used "the" correctly. I thank you very kindly for this help.

The event of this evening looked as true success. Many congratulations to those who have organised it. Is good to be able to do good for others.

Dilemma time. Players' Charity Ball comes soon. Date will be expected. I should:
- take sister?
- take niece?
- ask girls next door?
- ask Gabrielle?
- ask pretty ginger with candy-bar coffee?

[Warded to Lauren]
Schedule meeting with PR on Monday. Need to discuss change in roster. Schedule meeting also with Brooke Connolly, and with John Sampson, and with team after practice times.

Also, have flowers sent to eldest sister? I think she is probably ready to speak again, if I apologize for not doing anything wrong.

Team meeting for announcement on Monday after practice. Enjoy festival, but not too much.

Carnival is very nice times! But please, tell me there is not always carnival here every two weeks. If I am having funnel cake so often, soon I will be needing to join team in morning workout.

Legal tells me you are signing contract today. Start practice tomorrow? Also, if you are having time, come by pitch this evening to meet with team, watch some of practice?

Just checking in, since I haven't talked to you all weekend. It's been busy - I managed to convince Oliver Wood to join the team, and they're supposed to be working out the legalities of that today. That meant spending the weekend practicing for all the PR bullshit I'll have to deal with once the announcement goes to the media. I swear, Sasha, that's the worst part about being a coach instead of a player. Before, I could just say "no comment!" and move on and get back to playing the game. Now, I have to play nice with reporters and lawyers and other managers and all kinds of other people I used to be able to ignore.

I think things are going well, though. Most of the team's coming together pretty well. There's still some struggles with getting them to trust each other, but I think we'll get there. Wood'll be good for that, I think. I'm thinking of making a change in the Beater lineup, too - John doesn't want to admit it, but he's gotten too old for the position. I hate to bump him down to the reserves, but he simply doesn't have the stamina to keep up at this level of play. If he did, he'd still be playing for the Wasps. I have a Beater on the reserves I think would be a good replacement, provided she can learn a little more focus. I'll have Oliver watch the scrimmage tomorrow and see if he agrees, and make the decision from there.

All's well at the bookstore, I hope?

[Warded to Fleur Weasley]
Fleur, hello! You have said we should meet soon, and I have been very busy and did not call on you for to do so. Perhaps I may visit you and your family in this week? Also, very nice to see that Gabrielle is here also! (Though it is strange to think she is adult now. I remember her so small!)
[end ward]

Today, I have new experience at lunch: sushi. Why has no one ordered me eat sushi before? This is very good! Texture is strange, and eating is complicated (I must learn to use chop-sticks with more skill), but taste is very different and delicious. Also, I very much like wasabi. Sushi is winning. Now I have eaten sushi, and eaten Indian food, and both were very good; I think I must try more food in England that is not English.

Why is it so much easier to talk to people in writing than talk to them in person? I can go on and on, chat with people, act like a nice normal guy...as long as it's just a pen in my hand. Put me in the line for coffee behind a beautiful woman and I become absolutely useless.

Eh. She's probably married, anyway.
[end ward]

[Warded to Lauren]
Your brother has conditionally accepted offer to come to Daredevils. This will not be problem, working near each other?

Also, set meeting for me with Miss Bell in PR to discuss. Will be big announcement, do not want to make missmess of it. Half hour, if she has so much time?

Also, find us some lunch. Whatever you like, use expense account, order for you also.

Ivan Grozny

Since moving house is finished, my dog has come from temporary living with my parents in Bulgaria.

This is dog. His name is Ivan.

Cut for Photo )

He is large dog, but very friendly. Neighbors need not worry, he does not bite.

Looks like I'll be taking up management a little earlier than I'd been planning on. I was at the offices working out final negotiations, and decided to go see what practice was looking like. A good thing I did, too, since the team had a fight break out. Not really a fight, even - an assault. Started with some kind of argument - the Keeper's a prima donna, and I knew that going in, but it looks like he's a lot worse than I thought. He hauled off and hit one of the Chasers. I can't decide if I should thank him for giving me a nice early excuse for firing him or if that's "inappropriate."

I sacked the Keeper, obviously. Which is one way to announce to the team that I'm taking over, I guess. The temporary guy didn't argue, and I'll be essentially taking over first thing tomorrow morning. I was hoping for a week or two to get settled in and do a little more research on the players, but it looks like what I'll need to be doing is finding a new Keeper. And working out a training agreement immediately, figuring out a press conference for tomorrow morning (I already had to give a quote this afternoon. It sucked.) and hopefully scheduling a meeting with the players this evening, oh, and finding time to eat and sleep somewhere.

I now see why Torvald always needed a secretary to run his life.

Meeting at 4, yes? At your gym?

[Warded to Lauren Wood, added somewhat later]
Lauren, hello. I do not know if news came to you yet, but I am recently made Manager of Dunmoody Daredevils. I already see this is making me very busy. That is making me think I need assistant. Someone who can keep appointments correct, keep lists, make errands, write things, help me say things correctly, those manner of thing. Someone who speaks Bulgarian or Russian would be best, but I am not seeking miracle. If assistant can understand me through accent, that will be enough.

I am thinking since you work so much with Quidditch teams, you may know where I could look for such a person. If you have ideas, please tell me. I would consider it large favor.
[end ward]

I am decided: I must read more books in English. Make suggestions.

Also may be needing assistant soon. Life is getting very busy. Assistant needs organization, quick mind, good with people. Speaks Bulgarian or Russian would be good bonus. If someone is knowing person like this, please tell.

Moving house, I am decided, is very hard work.

All last week I spend putting things in boxes. Yesterday I am spending all day putting boxes into rooms. Today, I spend all day taking things out of boxes, and still there are many boxes left.

Many thanks for all those who helped to bring boxes and furniture, or else I would still be carrying. And thank you again, Miss Pat Parvati, for lunch today. I have not eaten very many Indian foods, but yours seems very much to me as if it is excellent.

So now I am living in Dunmoody. I walk around this afternoon, and though it is very hot, it is very nice. (I go home to mountains and I forget how hot are English summers.)

Since I am newly here, what should I take care to not miss?

[Warded to Megan Podmore]
You are trainer, yes?
